Clarksville man sentenced for Internet drug fraud

A former Clarksville man who ran an Internet drug fraud scheme was sentenced to serve 29 months in prison, U.S. Attorney Paul M. O’Brien announced Wednesday. In May, Dwight Lewis pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, mail fraud and wire fraud for his role in the drug fraud scheme over the World Wide Web.
U.S. District Judge Robert Echols sentenced him last week.
Lewis and two others operated a Web site —www.painow.com — that advertised the sale of hydrocodone, a powerful prescriptive pain killer.
