Hi,

I just wanted to alert about this scam going on in the market. You may get a mail claiming that there was some problem with your paypal account. The mail will ask you to click on a link to restore your account access. This is a totally fake mail aiming at stealing your information. Do not fall into the trap and click on the link. The link may

• Install a malware on to your website, or
• When you click on the link the paypal login page will appear asking you to login. If you notice carefully, the page layout will be same as paypal but the url serving the page will not be paypal. If you login into your account using this page, your paypal information will be captured by the Phisher.

Things to note about this mail are :-

• It is sent from mail id This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it (i.e paypal with a i )not This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it . This may be difficult to recognize as alphabet i (in caps) and alphabet l seems the same.
• The mail will be asking you to click on a link. But if you hover over the hyperlink (i.e. move your mouse over the link without clicking it) you will see in the status bar, that the hyperlink is pointing to some other location

If you are really concerned about the safety of your paypal account on recieving this mail, then open a new browser, type in the address www.paypal.com and then login into your account using your login information.
