DHARWAD, India: Cyber offenses are paperless and borderless crimes that needs to be combated by a vigilant society, said Deputy Com missioner of Police (Traffic and Crime) R Dilip.
He was delivering a special lecture on ‘Internal Security- Problem and Perspective’, organised by Alumni Ass ociation of University College of Law (UCL) and IIPA local bran h here recently at UCL premises.
Addressing the threat of cyber offenses in the society, Dilip said that simple and straight forward laws are required to curb such menace and the law penalizing it must reflect national thinking that encompasses quick and immediate administration of justice. He noted that the time has come to frame and enact all comprehensive legislation on cyber crimes that defines every offense in detail with stringent punishment including comprehensive investigation procedure.
