Try typing airtel in the address bar in your browser and hit ctrl+enter. Voila !!! What do we have?

Instead of getting the airtel homepage, we get redirected to the homepage of Vodaphone.es!!!!

Sources say that Vodafone bought a company called Airtel in Spain, and airtel.com belonged to that Spanish company originally. Whatever be the case, this is surely a nice case-study for the trademark lawyers.

For People who are not able to guess what the fuss is all about ! Airtel and Vodaphone are two key competitors in Telecom domain in India. Previously it was hutch and Airtel. But recently Vodafone took over Hutch. Now, when you type airtel.com, you get redirected to vodaphone’s web page!!!!

Airtel instead is using the www.airtelworld.com domain for its online presence !

This is surely a big blunder !
